Google 20 time is Google allows its employees to use up to 20 percent of their work week at Google to pursue special projects. That means for every standard work week, employees can take a full day to work on a project unrelated to their normal workload. I believe in a place like Google where just to get a job you have to be relatively determined and driven, "20 time" can be very productive. I think i would benefit from Google 20 time IF i had an idea or project that i could work on. At school however, I don't think it would be nearly as effective. I think students would rather waste the time doing something else, like playing games, or just talking, instead of actually developing and eventually completing a project. People are just not as driven anymore, they would rather have someone else do it for them or just not do it at all.
